Did Paul restrict the role of Christian women in the New Testament Church?
Understanding 1 Timothy 2:12.

Presented by: Dianne D. McDonnell.

Down through the ages Christian women have been limited and restricted by one Bible verse written by the Apostle Paul in the first century. Here is how the King James version translated it from the Greek:“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” 1 Timothy 2:12. These words have limited the participation of women during church services within thousands of churches and have acted like a literal “fence” around certain roles of leadership. Yet in other scriptures Paul praises Priscilla and other women who are actively leading and teaching the gospel message to both men and women! Why does Paul contradict himself? This presentation will reveal the amazing—even shocking—truth about “Paul and Women Teachers”!
